Useful against Poppers?

I noticed a recent addition to this page noting that the Power Sword can kill Poppers without them exploding. However, to my understanding the Power Sword's lack of range will generally prevent it from being used on a Popper (in real-time mode or during the alien turn in turn-based mode) before the Popper detonates. The only exception would be if you got the drop on one in turn-based mode, and in that scenario you can simply move soldiers out of the blast radius. Magic9mushroom (talk) 12:55, 24 March 2020 (UTC)

Back when I was playing the game heavily, I used to often build a small team of androids armed with dual swords. They were surprisingly effective and they had their occasional success against Poppers.

I would consider the swords feasible but not necessarily reliable. It depends on how quickly the attack can be executed before the popper decides to detonate. -NKF (talk) 20:29, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
