A handful of the many examples that can be done with the teleporter include escaping dangerous combat situations such as when a dimension missile or [[Popper]] explodes next to your agent. It can be used to teleport right behind an enemy such as shielded [[Anthropod (Apocalypse)]] or [[Megaspawn]] to put you in perfect position to unleash a full-auto dual [[Power Sword]] or [[Toxigun]] assault at point blank range before they even know what hit them. It can be used to get out of the way of an Entropy or Dimension Missile at the last second, or flee the explosion before any damage is done. In Real-Time, Agents can teleport around the battlefield dropping blast-on-impact [[Vortex Mine]]s or [[Alien Gas (Apocalypse)|Alien Gas]] grenades all in one pause session. Teleporters can also be used to allow ground based units to reach areas that normally can only be reached through flight, and those that have flight can teleport in mid-air.
