XCOM Headquarters (EU2012)

On Enemy Unknown 2012 XCOM Headquarters is the single base available for the player to fight the alien menace. Nicknamed the 'Ant Farm' by the design team, the base is presented with a cross-section that allows the player to zoom in the different base facilities.
The starting base comes with the following modules. Each module requires a certain amount of power units, which can be increased by building additional power generators.
- Hangar
- Mission Control
- Situation Room - Funding Council
- Armory (Equip Soldiers)
- Barracks
- Science Labs (?)
- Engineering(?)
- Infirmary (?)
The base has 24 expansion slots available to construct new facilities. The position of the facilities in relation to one another will provide bonuses to their output.
- Alien Containment
- Officer Training School
- Laboratories - boosts Science Lab
- Workshop - boost Engineering, "Random resource rebate on whatever you built"
- The Foundry - large manufacturing projects
- Power Generator
- Thermal Power Generator - more power, require steam vent
- Satellite Nexus
- Satellite Uplink - monitor the airspace over different countries around the world
